A five-strong gang pleaded guilty to transporting and trading 18 kilograms of drugs at a court hearing yesterday. The gang was involved in seven deals between February 2010 and June 2010, when they were caught by police.

Their largest deal involved 7 kilograms of drugs, the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court heard.

Most of the seized drugs were methamphetamine - known as ice - and ketamine. The drugs, bought from southern China's Guangdong Province, were sold in Shanghai and neighboring Zhejiang Province.

The court didn't hand down sentences at the hearing.
