A primary school headmaster and a teacher in north China's Hebei Province were suspended after some 30 students were found burned by bullies using cigarettes for fun, Yanzhao City News reported today.

Cangxian County government announced the punishment yesterday after angry parents besieged the Dabaitou Primary School building on Monday to demand an explanation.

Parents said they found blisters in the limbs of their children who were reluctant to reveal what happened. Most children received treatment but showed resistance to go back to school.

A grade-six student, identified as Ming Ming, said he was pushed into a school toilet by six schoolmates one afternoon last week.

"They said brothers had to be singed," Ming Ming said," I was so scared and I had to stretch my arm."
